Morning: Emails, Coffee, and Game Plans
Most event planners start their day early. Before the sun is fully up, the inbox is already waiting. Vendor confirmations, client questions, timeline updates, and new inquiries all need attention. The morning is where the foundation of the day is set.
Coffee in hand, I begin by reviewing the events coming up. I check timelines, confirm deliveries, and make sure every vendor has what they need. Communication is everything in this industry. A florist needs to know arrival times. A DJ needs the updated playlist. A caterer needs the final guest count. The venue needs the layout. Every detail matters.
Once emails are handled, it is time to review the day’s schedule. Some days are filled with meetings. Others are dedicated to site visits. Some are focused on design work. And then there are event days, which are a world of their own.
